Project Brief
Design a series of two advertisements & an Instagram
post for a brand using photography and type.

Brand
I chose to create advertisements for Vans because
I am a skateboarder who wears Vans, and I enjoy
their bold style of advertisements.

Research & Ideation
I started by researching Vans' brand personality to develop
a concept for a new advertising campaign. I experimented
with names like “Explore new heights”, “Play by your own
rules”, and “Get the board moving”, but eventually decided
upon "Take to the streets". Vans encourages its audience
to seek adventure, and this title serves to emphasize themes
of exploration and making new memories.

I took all the photos used in my compositions around
Rochester, NY. They were shot on my Fujifilm X-T2, edited with
Adobe Lightroom Classic, and finalized in Adobe Photoshop.
